Aideen is a passionate holistic practitioner, who draws on her innate desire to help others live their best life each day in her work.
Although she started her career in the Finance Industry after graduating from Dublin City University with a degree in International Business with Languages, her natural aptitude for working with people and for improving well-being soon took precedence. Since then, Aideen’s career has focussed on offering her clients the highest level of care in a range of treatments that offer real, tangible results.
Aideen has a personal interest in MLD since a close family member developed secondary Lymphoedema following treatment for cancer.
She completed her Manual Lymphatic Drainage training in 2008 in the Bon Secours Hospital in Cork and the Wittlinger Therapy Centre in Walchsee, Austria under the instruction of top international professionals in the Vodder method.
Aideen is a registered member of MLD Ireland Association and is required to complete a practical review course bi-annually to ensure her skills and knowledge are maintained with the most up to date practices and to the highest standard.
To date, in the area of holistic therapies, Aideen has also completed higher qualifications in Anatomy and Physiology, Holistic, Swedish and Pregnancy Massage, Indian Head Massage and Kinesio-taping.
Gaining a qualification in Hatha Yoga was a natural progression for her as yoga has been an integral part of Aideen’s life for many years. With over 11 years of yoga teaching experience, Aideen has been instrumental in helping many people achieve peace of mind and improve their physical well-being through yoga. Aideen has also facilitated/taught meditation classes.
When she’s not seeing clients or practising yoga, you can find Aideen somewhere along the coast, with a surfboard under her arm – or feet! She loves the freedom and tranquillity of the outdoors and spends as much time as possible out in nature.
