Combined Decongestive Therapy or CDT is the use of MLD in conjunction with compression bandaging. CDT is the standard approach for the treatment of Lymphedema.

The compression bandaging is applied after each session and should be worn until your next appointment. This ensures the best results.

An intensive course of CDT usually involves six sessions over a 2-week period, after which time you can decide, with guidance from your Beautiful Life MLD therapist, whether to continue treatment or to stop at this point.

The next step in the process is to be measured and fitted for compression garments, which can be worn daily to help maintain the results achieved during the intensive.
